The ECB, a government sponsored institution, just loaned €400 billion to the European banks at a 0% interest rate (free money).
Tell me again how government is the solution to all of our problems and how we need government to stop the rich from getting richer.
Tell me again how free market capitalism is to blame for the richest 1% owning more than the rest of us combined.

Venezuelans Ransack Stores as Hunger Grips the Nation
A nation anxiously searches for ways to feed itself, as the economic collapse of recent years has left it unable to produce or import sufficient food.
We had a high of 106 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday but thanks to air conditioning it wasn’t noticeable. It would have been understandable if we had power outages due to everyone blasting their air conditioning all at the same time, but that didn’t happen. Southern California Edison, a private company, handled it.
Can you imagine how frustrated everyone would have been if power went out in 106 degree weather? Edison’s phone would have been ringing nonstop with complaints. Government would have issued an inquiry into Edison corporate mismanagement.
In contrast, our government “managed” water distribution system continues to be strictly rationed with mandatory reductions subject to fines or penalties because they “ran out of water”.
I have to remind everyone, that water is a renewable resource. You can’t “run out of” a renewable resource.
A private company can deliver non renewable resources such oil and coal from halfway around the globe, and can provide reliable electricity even during the most in demand days, but government can’t deliver a renewable resource such as water from across the country, or from Canada, and decides rationing is the solution.
I think it’s time to privatize the water supply.
