The west doesn’t believe in containing pandemics. There are too many places to go, and too many things to see.
Pick up some DayQuil / NyQuil, or equivalent, while you can. Don’t wait until you’re sick, only to find out that local pharmacies are sold out. You saw what happened with toilet paper. Be smart.
If everyone wore a medical mask as part of their daily routine, as they do in smarter countries, there would not be a need to cancel everything, shutting down the entire economy in the process.

Well, at least people finally get it. The next hurdle is getting them to disregard the dumb CDC / WHO recommendations about mask usage, and begin wearing masks every time they leave the house, like they do in Singapore and Hong Kong.
