Wealth isn’t real until it becomes realized. That’s why they allow and can allow unrealized wealth but not a broad increase in income. The government gives the rich unrealized assets in exchange for tangible dollars that they spend on various government programs. It’s government spending that drives that massive increase in unrealized wealth.
