Death penalty for WHO scientists? Yes, please.
I’m only joking, I don’t support the death penalty, but if something were to accidentally happen to them, then that’s life, I guess.
The Afghan government defense ministry put out a press release stating they’ve stopped a Taliban advance in Kaldar, Balkh. The problem is Kaldar was neither Taliban controlled, nor contested, it was one of the few government controlled districts.
They may think they’re putting this out as a government victory, but if a government controlled district is where they’ve stopped the Taliban advance, the situation is worse for them than they’re letting on.
I’m actually being generous to the Afghan government with my assessment as I’m giving all the contested districts to Kabul. In reality, the Afghan government controls very little.
Taliban don’t need to hold districts, they need to make it so Kabul can’t hold them.
