The common belief that the Taliban will struggle in cities is wrong. When Trump liberated cities like Raqqah, Syria and Mosul, Iraq from ISIS, he did so at a great cost in armaments, to infrastructure and buildings, and yes to civilians, though they had largely already fled.
If the Taliban take root in an urban environment, the Afghan Air Force, one of the few advantages the Afghan government has in this conflict, won’t be able to easily dislodge them.
