War in Afghanistan map for July 8, 2021.

Taliban made big gains in Herat province this time. They barely touched it until after a meeting with the Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif concluded, then multiple districts were captured immediately. They also put additional pressure on Kandahar province and are attempting to control border crossings to cut off customs revenue to the Afghan government.
