Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency under Obama and senior intelligence officer in Afghanistan before that, is the one who kicked off the Afghanistan papers through a desire to bring transparency into the War in Afghanistan.
Obama fired him as head of DIA, Trump re-hired him as head of NSA, and Biden cooked up a scheme to have the FBI use the Logan Act against him to have him removed as head of NSA and to wrap him up in criminal litigation until Trump pardoned him at the end of his presidency.
It’s an interesting story and one that escapes the attention span of most Americans, to say the least.
