The right wing is upset about this, but to me it’s a positive development because it ends the efforts by the GOP establishment to sell Youngkin as the model of a post-Trump Republican party.
As I’ve mentioned in private, though he’s preferable to a Democrat, I’m not a big fan of Youngkin, but a weak well-mannered Republican is all that can win in Virginia, home of permanent government employees in Fairfax, so it is what it is.
The model remains a mix of rust-belt and sun-belt.

With both those who strongly approve and those who somewhat approve not budging, Biden approval on COVID remains at 45%. As COVID cases rise over winter and Biden fails to deliver on his promise to beat the virus, his approval numbers will come down.
More importantly, Biden disapproval on COVID has risen to a new high of 48% as those who were previously unsure break strongly against Biden as a result of a relentless campaign against his vaccine mandates and his push to vaccinate children.
Biden is now negative on COVID, 48% vs. 45% (-3), even lower if you consider that Economist / YouGov is a Biden friendly polling firm.
OSHA suspended Biden vaccine mandate activities.
This should have been on the front page of every news site, but they all want you to get vaccinated, and won’t run this headline to make the story go away, so you’ll have to find it on right-wing news sites.
