Around 50% of Begich voters went for the Democrat or chose to abstain in the second round, giving the seat to the Democrat. The 11,222 who abstained alone would have given the win to Palin.
Republicans can win if they want to win, but I get the sense they’d rather continue to be pearl clutching sore losers.
