There were fewer deaths in October for the under 25 age group this year (2020) than in previous years (2015-2019).
Influenza is more deadly than COVID to this age group, so while COVID did not cause much increase in excess deaths to this age group, the lack of a Flu season resulted in less overall excess deaths over previous years.
