Chechen forces doing the Lezgin dance in Ukraine.
I wrote in the past that the Pashtuns of Afghanistan have a genetic admixture that’s predominantly comprised of S. Indian, Balochi, Caucasian, and N.E. European, i.e. 19%, 34%, 20%, and 11%.
While the S. Indian and Balochi components came from India and Harrapa in the south, the Aryan components, i.e. the Caucasian and the N.E. European, came not from Iran, a western Iranian people, but from Scythians north of the Caucasus mountains in Ossetia, an eastern Iranian people, which was also the likely ancestor of the Chechen.
Incidentally, the ancestral dance of the Lezgin dance is also likely the ancestral dance of the Pashtun dance, the Attan.
