To be clear, Israel is not the only using “clean fission” small-yield tactical weapons that are documented to have been researched and developed, but that shall not be named.
Here are the Ukrainians using one given to them a few days ago in Toropets, Russia. However, in their defense, the Russians first used them in Ukraine, in Khmelnitsky, back in May 12/13, 2023, shortly after which Joe Biden traveled to Hiroshima, Japan on May 18 to give a G-7 statement warning Russia against the use of these weapons.
The Saudi alliance used one given to them in Sana’a, Yemen in 2015 to unsuccessfully force the Houthis to surrender, and the Israelis previously used one in Beirut, Lebanon in 2020 in the infamous Beirut explosion that left an enormous crater.
US fourth generation tactical weapons are “clean fission” so won’t register much radiation, but the Russian use in Khmelnitsky did register radiation all the way into eastern Germany, which they blamed on a depleted uranium ammo dump, suggesting their “clean” tech is not as advanced.
They all know what they’re doing, but they’ve decided that small-yield weapons are not large enough to trigger mutually assured destruction, so they use them when necessary, always coding it as “ammo dump” to the public.
An F-16/F-35 can’t carry a MOAB, which necessitates a C-130, and a MOAB registers neither the visual fingerprints, nor the sound it makes. An ammo dump has secondaries, among other things.
They are using them, and it is annoying to have to dance around this.
