I don’t like to post unconfirmed rumors, but yes, I’m making a note of it.
Rumor is US asked Ghani to step down, State Department was quick to deny, doesn’t want to be seen as interfering in Democratic processes. Still unconfirmed, but it’s out there, so I’m adding context.
Lashkargah outlasted both Herat and Kandahar. Sami Sadat wasn’t playing around.
